An extremely fine embroidered animal trapping, circa early 20th century or before, Banjara community, Andhra Pradesh, South India. It is certainly some of the finest embroidery work I've seen. The colors all appear to be from organic sources. It's been decorated with small lead pieces, crowrie shells as well as mica mirrors. The condition is very good for its age. The wonderful little trapping measures 9" across the top x 7" including triangles at the bottom. A unique and collectable example. Price on Request
